Topical anaesthetics for cosmetic tattooing are supplied by our partner, Tugun Compounding Pharmacy. All orders are placed through their online evaluation form. Once it's completed, their clinics team will be in touch with you.

Before & after your treatment
A few simple steps help you get the best, longest-lasting results. Your therapist will tailor this advice to you on the day.
Before your appointment
- Book your free consultation to choose your shape and colour.
- Order your topical anaesthetic ahead of time from Tugun Compounding Pharmacy (see the order form above).
- Avoid sun and tanning on the area, and stop retinol and exfoliating acids near the area, for 2 weeks before.
- For brows: no waxing, tinting or anti-wrinkle injections around the brows for 2 weeks before.
- For lips: if you get cold sores, speak to your doctor or pharmacist about prevention before your appointment.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before, as it can increase bleeding.
After your appointment
- Keep the area clean and dry, and apply the aftercare balm exactly as your artist shows you.
- Don't pick, scratch or rub. Let flakes fall away on their own.
- Avoid swimming, saunas, heavy sweating and direct sun for 10 to 14 days.
- No makeup or skincare on the tattooed area until it has healed.
- Colour looks darker at first and softens as it heals. Your perfection visit at 6 to 8 weeks perfects the final result.
- Once healed, keep retinol and acids away from the area and wear SPF to help colour last.

Does cosmetic tattooing hurt?
Most clients feel only mild discomfort. Topical anaesthetic from Tugun Compounding Pharmacy is applied before and during your treatment.
How long does it last?
Usually 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin, lifestyle and sun exposure. A refresh visit keeps colour looking its best.
Why do I need a perfection visit?
Skin heals differently in different spots. At 6 to 8 weeks we fill any gaps and fine-tune the shape and colour.
How long does healing take?
The surface heals in about 7 to 14 days. Colour settles fully over 4 to 6 weeks.
Feather Touch or Powder Brow?
Feather Touch creates fine hair strokes for a natural look. Powder Brow gives a soft, shaded, makeup-look finish. We help you choose at your consultation.
Is cosmetic tattooing suitable for everyone?
It isn't recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and some medications and skin conditions need a check first. We go through this at your consultation.
