Before & after your treatment
A few simple steps help you get the best, longest-lasting results. Your therapist will tailor this advice to you on the day.
Before your appointment
- Exfoliate at least 24 hours beforehand so your tan goes on evenly and fades evenly.
- Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your tan.
- On the day, skip moisturiser, deodorant, perfume and makeup.
- Wear loose, dark clothing and thongs, and leave jewellery at home.
After your appointment
- Rinse off after 2 to 6 hours. Your therapist will guide you on the right time on the day.
- First rinse with lukewarm water only and pat dry.
- Avoid sweat, swimming and tight clothing until your first rinse.
- Moisturise every day to keep your tan even, and top up with Tan Extender.
- Avoid oil-based products and chlorine, which fade tan faster.

How long does a spray tan last?
About 5 to 7 days, depending on your skin and how well you moisturise.
When should I tan before an event?
One to two days before gives your tan time to develop and settle.
Will it look orange?
No. Your therapist matches the shade to your skin tone for a natural glow. Add an extra coat if you'd like it deeper.
Does a spray tan protect me from the sun?
No. A spray tan has no SPF, so keep using your sunscreen.
